Avoiding tire failure is as easy as giving your tires the attention they need ahead of time! With routine inspections, your tires will be happy and healthy, and you will have the confidence that your car is safe to drive. Plus, it can also save you money, as you will not need to replace your tires as often.

You can help your tires last a full five years or more with regular maintenance. Important maintenance practices include alignment checks, rotation and balancing. We recommend visiting us for a tire rotation and balance every 5,000 miles or so in order to ensure even tire wear. Alignment checks don't need to be done as often, but be sure to come in once or twice a year to make sure everything is good.

It also will become obvious that it is time for an alignment, as the handling of your car won't quite feel right. When your wheels are unaligned, your car will drift to the side and your steering wheel will not naturally return to center.

It's recommended that you get new tires about every five years. Of course it depends on usage, upkeep and whether or not they've sustained damage, but five years is a good idea of the average lifespan. Tires should not be used more than 10 years. However, you may find that your tires need to be repaired throughout their lifetime. it's not at all uncommon to run over a nail or hit a curb, both of which can result in tire damage.
