The 2007 Nissan Sentra is a front-engine, front-wheel-drive, compact economy sedan with a traditional trunk. It is available in three trim levels; base Sentra 2.0, popularly equipped 2.0 S, and the upscale 2.0 SL. High-performance SE-R and SE-R Spec V are midyear additions to the Sentra lineup. The car is a very decent commuter, a good car for moving people between home and work, home and school, home and social events.

All 2007 Sentra cars get a 2.0-liter, 16-valve, double-overhead cam, inline four-cylinder engine that develops 140 horsepower and 147 foot-pounds of torque at 4,800 rpm. A six-speed manual transmission is standard. Nissan's Xtronic CVT (an automatic, continuously variable transmission) is optional.

The 2007 Nissan Sentra has seating for five with luggage capacity of 13.1 cubic feet. Nissan offers ABS as standard on SL, SE-R, and Spec V, optional otherwise. SE-R and Spec V have 4-wheel disc brakes, sport suspension, and specific exterior and interior styling cues. Air conditioning, power windows and locks are standard. On 2.0 models, the split rear seatback folds flat with the floor. Leather upholstery, wireless cell phone link, and keyless locking/starting are standard on SL model.
